Teaching Interests

Alicia supports classes and research conducted in science, technology, engineering, and math. This includes classes such as: computer science, global health, biology, psychology, neuroscience, linear algebra, sustainability, and more.

Professional Experience

Alicia worked as a library assistant at Ivy Tech Community College for two years and as a librarian at Johnson County Public Library for one year. Additionally, she has professional experience in non-profit environments including: academic enrollment, database management and migration, Greek life membership, events, development and donor relations, and technology troubleshooting.

Service and Leadership

Alicia is currently a member of the American Library Association and their affiliated association CORE (Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures). She also represents 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's Libraries on 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's Library and Technology Committee and collaborates closely with an external organization called InDiPres.

Other

Additional Responsibilities: A large portion of Alicia's professional position at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø is providing systems support to the libraries. This includes troubleshooting broken links, coordinating projects and system migrations, implementing new tools, and assisting different departments in their own internal workflows.
