The mission of the Rainbow community is to provide housing for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning students, as well as their allies. The restrooms will be gender-inclusive. As a resident or guest of the community, you are expected to be respectful and sensitive to all identities within the LGBTQ+ community.
Learning Outcomes

By living and learning together, members will cultivate a strong sense of self, community, and connection among LGBTQ+, gender expansive, and allied students.
Context and Knowledge
Members will gain a greater understanding of LGBTQ+ identities and cultures related to historical and contemporary experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, aromantic, and gender-expansive individuals.
Inclusion And Belonging
A strong sense of belonging will be fostered by members taking care of one another, accepting others, making meaningful connections with each other, building an affinity towards the hall/university, and being the best version of themselves. Â

House of Opulence A safe community built through radical inclusivity + education. The goal of the House of Opulence is to cultivate a safe and respectful community, addressing the unique issues impacting the queer, LGBTQIA+, and trans community on 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s campus by creating a surrogate-family structure that promises radical acceptance. Our mission is to involve and educate the members of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø on the intersectionality of queerness and being a student of color. |
